Roger is proud to have his son, Wes Pierce, work alongside him at VetPride Services. Wes is VetPride Services’ President and Chief Operating Officer. Wes’ focus at VetPride is contract management, customer site visits to ensure service quality is maintained at the level VetPride expects, and superior customer service. Wes earned his Bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University and brings over a decade of marketing and management experience to VetPride Services.

Founder & CEO
Roger’s desire to serve people prompted a long career in Human Resources for major manufacturers and retail companies. As fulfilling as this was for Roger, he knew he could make a greater impact, not only for civilians, but for veterans as well. “I wanted to use my civilian and military experience to create a small business with family values that could provide a great service to commercial and governmental customers,” Roger explains. He founded VetPride Services in 2004 with his son, Wes Pierce, and what started as a small family business, quickly grew to include more than 400 employees. With numerous customers spanning the United States, and overseas, VetPride Services has become a leader in the industry.
A man of remarkable character, Roger measures success not by revenues or status, but by the level of service he is able to provide to both his customers and to his employees: “My goal is to continue to grow VetPride with an emphasis on great service, and to continue to provide a living for our employees, which is what makes us a true success,” he says. Roger loves his employees like family, and is committed to their prosperity. “Family is very important to us,” says Roger, “we treat all our employees as members of the VetPride family. I enjoy working with all of our employees across the country, talking with them, and having an open door policy as an owner.”
Douglas MacArthur once said, “A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. He does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by the equality of his actions and the integrity of his intent.” When I read this quote, I think of Wes Pierce. Wes is a man of dedication and strong resolve. His remarkable resilience to new situations has endowed him with an amazing capacity to not only learn, but to cultivate success wherever he goes.
After graduating from North Carolina State University in 2001 with a Bachelors of Science in Business, he spent several years in marketing and business management. In 2004, he started VetPride Services with his father, and as the Chief Operating Officer, grew the company to more than 400 employees, and quickly became a leader in the industry.
Much of Wes’ success can be contributed to the level of humility he possesses as an individual. His humble nature overflows into respect and gratitude for everyone he encounters. His compassion for people has given him a heart to serve others, a defining characteristic of all great leaders. “We are a family owned business, and we treat all of our employees like family,” says Wes.
Wes has a desire for business development. He enjoys spending time with his employees, connecting with them and encouraging their success. He also assists his father in managing VetPride’s contracts and client relations.
Wes lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with his wife, Suzanne. They’ve been married for eight years, and have two children- Cameron and Cade. When he isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and going to the beach.
